MEET JODI

  • THE PATH TO HEALER

Sound in all of its forms has been an important thread throughout my life. It has weaved its way from singing as a young girl to studying Music and Technology at Northeastern University to a 15+ year career in post production mixing, sound design and recording, and now into my current work as a sound healing practitioner (and perpetual student).

My journey into the world of sound healing began with yoga. Through studying various disciplines, I became increasingly aware of the vibrations within my body and my connection to the energy around me. I learned to tap into my innate wisdom through the power of mantra, somatic movement, and energy harmonizing. These practices awakened something profound within me, guiding me to follow my calling and embrace my role as a healer.

  • HOW SOUND HEALED ME

After trying everything in the book to alleviate chronic back pain, it was radio frequency treatments that gave me back movement and offered relief.

When struggling to conceive it was after a 40-day chant that I discovered I was finally pregnant.

When I was struggling with postpartum depression, it was learning to play the gongs and singing bowls that lifted me out of the fog.

I witnessed firsthand how sound and vibration can transform pain into peace and chaos into calm. I now approach each session with the understanding that sound has the profound ability to connect us to our innermost selves, fostering healing not only on a physical level but also on emotional and spiritual planes.

  • OUTSIDE OF THE CIRCLE

Prior to pursuing sound healing, I worked at two of New York City's top post-production sound studios, and had the opportunity to collaborate on campaigns for numerous Fortune 500 companies. My films have been featured at renowned festivals, including Sundance and Tribeca. When I'm not engaged in sound work, I enjoy knitting, gardening, practicing yoga and spending time with my husband, son, stepchildren, and our dog, Sunshine, at our home in Red Hook, NY.
